Category: The Best ______
It's kind of like kicking you when you’re down, but today's "The Best" entry is a product that doesn't exist anymore. My favorite brownie product is Stir-n-bake. In fact, I just ate half a package. If it wasn’t for the fact that my wife was ravenously eating the other half, I would have eaten the whole darn thing. It’s getting harder and harder to find them. We found these at a gas station outside Canada.
I need to go lie down. I'm too full -- I'm much too full.

It is ridiculously expensive and if it weren't a little treat to myself I wouldn't use it; however, I just love Cascade Complete Orange Scented Detergent. It leaves my place just smelling great. It has a nice fresh orange scent. Yum!
I just wish that it came in something other than a 45 ounce container. I want the 247 ounce uber warehouse container.

As someone who likes a good energy/protein/meal/whatever bar, I would like to share some of the ones that I have found to be decent.
1) Kashi Vanilla Spice
2) Balance Gold Chocolate Peanut Butter
3) Balance Satisfaction Bar (Oatmeal and Chocolate Crisp)
While the above vary in nutritional content (some have more protein, some have more sugars, etc.), they all have two things in common. 1) They are all better for you than a Snickers bar. 2) They all actually taste half-decent.

I woke up with the desire to surround myself with the best of everything. I have long been a fan of the "Do it right or don't do it at all." school of thought. Why spend 80% to get a product that will last half as long and please you 50% as much.
I figure that everyone has at least one random product that they can't stop raving about. I want to know about them.
Let everyone benefit from your experiences. Drop me a note at thebestof@theevilempire.com. I will post your entry. (please no religious wars)
What's my entry? I'm glad that you asked. If you are a fan of rocky-folksy music and love undiscovered music, I have the band for you. They are a SF group/duo called Box Set. They are incredible. You can check them out at:
Check out the streaming audio. You won't be disappointed.
